As in other countries and regions, the indigenous people of the Amazon make use of the resources (NTFPs) from the forests to craft articles of use.

I took this photograph in a museum/shop sort of outlet in the centre of Manaus. I was interested in the products because just about everything came from raw material found in the Amazon forests and handcrafted by the various indigenous tribes of the region. I didn't learn about the marketing channels and exploitation by middlemen.

I'm interested to know how do they market them? what is the demand for these products? how do they streamline their market chains? like indigenous people in India do these people suffer exploitation from the middlemen? thank you
