Why Save Water?

They say one feels the importance of anything only after it is gone. The same is happening with us in case of water. We are not understanding the importance of water right now. We have been deceived by the availability of water at the touch of our finger, 24 x 7. We are being fooled into thinking that we have water available in abundance.
But what if I say that it is true!!! We do have lakhs of litres of fresh, pure and consumable water. You might be thinking I also got fooled into believing the lie.
Well, here we have again been misguided. Every year lakhs of litres of Rainwater falls on various surfaces like roofs, roads, agricultural lands etc. This pure form of water can be and should be harvested. Water is not our property to waste, but a gift given by mother nature to us. And what we are asking is to just give a return gift to nature.
Save the rain while we still have time.

Water - A Lifeline

Water is the most essential element for all living beings. Five elements- Earth, Water, Light, Air and Vaccum give us energy to live a healthy and happy life.

Same way the well being of humanity, environment and the functioning of the economy depend upon the sensible conservation of these five elements. Problems related to water in modern context are increasing worldwide.

Water level in dug wells and bore wells is going down day by day. Our cities are on the verge of Zero day due to acute scarcity of water.

Women and Children have to walk miles to fetch clean water for daily requirement of cooking and drinking. This is a great concern for civilised society and for developing world.

In many parts of the world, lower income groups and poor families have to spend considerable amount of money from their daily wages just to buy water. It is even difficult for the government to address the issues related to water given the pace of Industrialisation and Urbanisation.

Ground water sources are depleting rapidly; surface water sources have got contaminated and these are our main sources of survival.

Water is a teacher, a healer, a mirror, a wonder, a hope, a charm and a essence of life.
