First ever transplantion of trees wasinitiated by the Founder Ravi Menon despite state authorties reluctance to undertake project to save those trees from the axes of the contractors!

    You are right Mr Singh... same thing happens everywhere in the country, particularly when planting is done by contractors. Our appeals the authorities to invove the volunteers, of ITF or other NGOs in the city never evoked any response, as it might involve breaking off the nexus between the contractors and the those involved. The Govt spent lakhs for this programme everyyear during the vanamahotsav, but the survival rate of those planted trees is less than 6%....

    ..really great efforts! In Delhi, right-now they just dig up-to few centimetres without seeing the roots,..and just for sake of doing, plant it somewhere else.
