Killing innocent animals unnecessarily, in the name of protein is a foolish thing to do, especially for scientifically advanced human beings. Most environmental problems have roots in slaughter. In the US, millions of cows and pigs are murdered each year, with no understanding of how these actions contribute to the degradation of the entire world.

I am strongly agree with your opinion but recent research findings reveals that fruits and vegetables contain the residues of the chemicals and other pesticides. And I don't know exact difference between plants and animals both are the living organisms which we depend on them for our food requirements based on the interest of the people.
