About this Club

"India has thousands of years' old tradition of mining. And a plus billion strong population has an ever increasing appetite for raw materials. Are we extracting our mineable resources the right way today! Can mining and sustainable development go together! Mitigating negative impact of mining on the vulnerable and fragile environmental and cultural resources is a major challenge facing the mining industry, technocrats, environmentalists and other scientists, civil society and all other direct and indirect stakeholders of mining activities in the world.

This club sponsored by Paryavaran.com is intended to provide a platform to all the stakeholders of mining who are interested in sustainable development."

Same story in the Orissa iron ore belt,…
