The college has grown in leaps and bounds in terms of student strength, courses, subjects offered and facilities etc. The college had an opportunity to endorse its standard and class through the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, an autonomous institution of University Grants Commission, in 2004. The college received ‘A’ grade in the assessment. This motivated the Principal and Faculty to march further which culminated in starting M.Sc. courses in Information Technology, Bio-Technology and Centre for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems.
The College with equipoise and confidence decided to ascertain its standard and class and underwent the accreditation process by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and was conferred “A” Grade in February, 2004.
The College has been re-accredited and awarded “A” grade with a CGPA score of 3.21 by NAAC recently.
The College has been conferred the “Best College Award” of the University of Mumbai for the academic year 2008-2009, under the category of Urban Colleges, on 15th August, 2010, at the hands of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Mumbai.
The College has been ranked fourth, third and fifth among three hundred fifty science colleges of Mumbai in 2006-2007, 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 respectively and 36th, 34th and 32nd in India, according to an independent survey conducted by a reputed national publication “India Today”.
