Food Focus- IYCN Video Competion

Do you know where your food comes from? Do you relish those meaty meals every day? Do you know how it affects our environment? Try and take a closer look at what you’re eating and the impact of your food on climate change.

Modern consumption patterns are resulting in wastage of natural resources across theworld. Deforestation has risen to extreme levels to support our diets and this is now beginning to alter our climate and exacerbate global warming. It has been scientifically proven by the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization that our global livestock is responsible for 18 percent of green house gas emissions.

We need to take action on climate change, now! Make some noise. Brush up those creative skills. Be a part of this National Video Competition conducted by Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) with the support of Humane Society International (HSI) .Don’t bother about those high definition cameras. It’s not about the technique and craft of the film making, but THE CONTENT. A simple camera phone would do too, to make an amazing video. Grab this opportunity, focus on your food.

Make a difference.
