Biotechnology for wastewater treatment and lake remediation has focused on use of bacteria.
In nature the oxygen required by aerobic bacteria is produced mainly by Diatom Algae.
We have found that when Diatoms grow in water the bacteria naturally present too grow well and water quality improves rapidly.
Thus there is no need to add any specific species of diatoms or bacteria.
In lakes diatoms are consumed by fish and in sewage treatment plants the diatoms die and fall to the bottom and become part of the sludge along with the dead bacteria.
We have a patented product to cause naturally present Diatoms to bloom.
