biotechnology in waste water treatment

dear ranganathan ,absolutely true.My own experience on treatment of tannery waste water by induction of bacterial treatment and discarding lime and alum in conventional process gave amazing result. Would definitely like to share my views and experience with you

  • sure any bacterial treatment requires regulation.the biggest advantage of bacterial treatment is that it eliminates the use of chemicals like lime and alum in the process and drastically reduces the quantity of hazardous sludge which is generated during the waste water treatment.this hazardous sludge is stored in the so called secured land fills without taking into account the future cost involved in its management and clean up.
  • Thanks for posting...it is good suggestion, but needs regulating feed. It can give energy options and feed for organic agriculture too if properly planned and designed.
