Invitation to National Seminar (WASMACS-2018) at BHU, Varanasi

We have pleasure to inform you that a two day National Seminar  on Water and Soil Management Approaches for Climate Smart Agriculture, (WASMACS, 2018), is going to be organized during March 23rd - 24th, 2018 by the Department of Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry in the sidelines of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the department. The focal theme of the Conference is Innovations in Water and Soil Management leading to climate smartness of agriculture. The Conference will feature many sessions :

§ Dr. Sant Singh Memorial Lecture

§ Invited Talks

§ Industry – Farmers’ interface

§ Presentation of Contributed Research Papers under the sub themes-

1.  Interventions in water management for CSA

2.  Interventions in soil management for CSA

3.  Water and soil  pollution abatement

4.  Soil and water conservation to sustainable agriculture

5.  Efficient use of water in life-stock husbandry and fisheries to meet global challenges

6.  Natural resource management, agro forestry and conservation agriculture to mitigate climate change

7.  Remote sensing, GIS and modeling interventions in soil and water research.
