  • True but what about those who are aware but still do it?

  • awareness is the only way, let every body around you know the importance and ways to protect the nature, i am optimistic that gradually people will make saving resources a habit, start today from you first as charity begins at home............................

  • Fortunately awareness is growing but not to the desired extent. Friends here may share with in their cycle.

  • I agree with the above comments. However, what are common people doing about this. It looks fancy talking and writting about water issues. Until and unless initiatives are taken at grass-root level i dont think major changes can happen. Like, for example are we following water conservation at our home ? Are we as an individual trying to reuse the water and make sure minimium wastewater is discharged. If we inculcuate small and simple steps in our daily life, I am sure half of water issues can be solved.

  • I am somewhat pessimistic in the views because people are more concerned for today (present) rather then of tomorrow.....

  • Excellent slideshow by a visionary-Dr APJ.

It is our bounden duty to solve this problem before it manifests as a CRISIS.

There are several approaches to solve.

Maintain ecological balance, conserve water, prevent water pollution, augment resources, go for conjunctive use of surface and ground water, recycle and reuse-and RESPECT WATER.

  • There is still a ray of hope. The on-going toil of researchers and technological inputs will make it comfortable. It will not be this scary, except in the case of nuclear holocaust.

I appreciate your concern, and take this as a warning.

We all need to put in our efforts as individual to prevent it.

  • Excellent. Our people should wake up now since it is high time to protect our natural resources, mainly the water bodies.  Local Panchayats, local government structures should be empowered to protect their water sources independently. Mother Nature will save our people!
