Dear Madam/Sir,Society for Environment Conservation and Research invites to participate in"Two days Certificate Workshop in Field Botany"Venue - At Mahuli Ecotourism Centre – Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary, Shahapur, Thane.On 27th & 28th December 2017.Objective: This 2 day course will cover conventional topics in Field Botany like Diversity of Plants, Morphology, Systems of Classification, Field Data Collection & Herbarium Techniques, Plant Associations & Interactions, Plant Communities in Different Ecosystems.This course is for students in field of environment (FyBsc, SyBsc, TyBsc, MSc), research scholars, plant enthusiasts, naturalists, student, teachers and wildlife biologists who want to enhance their knowledge of plant taxonomy and allied field.This is an excellent opportunity for you to improve your knowledge of trees, shrubs andother woody species. The course begins with a concise classroom introduction to plant terminology. During this portion of the class, we will also introduce key concepts regarding some of the genera in the region. However, most of the class will take place outdoors where we will visit a variety of plant community types. Participants will learn to identify the plants using twigs, buds, bark, habitat and leaf characters. Our experts will equip you with the ability to identify during the winter months.
