    The types of hazardous waste generated in service stations are: Paint Sludge, Oil Soaked Cotton, Filters, used Lead acid batteries.

    Apart from this VOCs is one of the gaseous emissions which is hazardous

  • yes  oil is main issue......at automobile service station, and the oil used in automobile sector(used in engine) are the category of hazardous waste.  oil contains hydrocarbons.....

     

  • This has been mentioned in subcategory 5.1 & 5.2 of schedule I (Hazardous waste management, handling & trans-boundary rule). Residues containing oil, ETP sludge are the haz waste generated from automobile service stations....infact some oil soaked cotton waste too...

    and yes ETP Sludge generated frm automobile service station is hazardous in nature.
    Process waste, residues and sludges generated from paint booth are hazardous in nature (category 21)
