How much time is required to develop bacteria on initial stage of treatment e.g. for 500 m3 holding tank.If plant disturbed & all of the bacteria died, which action should taken immidiately to treat waste water & normalize the disturbed plant.
The out come will depend upon what microbial strains you are using. Please note in bioremediation quality of strains are more important than the quantity.
Thanks a lot for your valuable informantion.I have done with culture using yeast extract powder with other chemicals to develop bacteria fast. But it takes 14-18 days exactly.

Please put your question very correctly - which is this tank ? dimensions of tank ? what are the characteristics of influent- Based on the physical,analysis- experience of similar type
solution can be given- Generally within 5-6 days it can be done with lot of efforts
We could help you develop a healthy population of microbes in about 14 days time with our microbes, being produced in collaboration with Biosa Denmark. We have already done similar work even in Sugar Mills.
It takes about 3 to 4 weeks time to develop bacteria in the initial stages, irrespective of size of the tank. In case the plant is disturbed and all the bacteria die then the cause for plant disturbance should be ascertained and corrective measures should be taken. It would again take same time period to stablize the plant to come to the normal condition. You can add seed from the active sludge of similar plant.
if it is aerobic trmt - typically 3 weeks. You can start it faster by putting in more seed sludge....other options include putting in cowdung, or packaged bacteria available in the market.
Good monitoring and control sud not disturb the plant to that extent if corrective actions are taken. Each problem will have separate soln/corrective action.
to do away with such kind of exigencies whey don't we look at other methods of treatment ..meaning doing the same thing but differently....for a change.... no bacteria, no power, no odor, no noise pollution ( no aerators), less retention time... meaning 1 hour any quantity of wastewater to be treated and ready for discharge post tertiary treatment...sewage to potable standards.... if this suits requirement you are welcome to reach us at info@ozosciences.com or do visit us at www.ozosciences.com for more information
