Waste oil disposal

Hello Team.

My company is new green field project ...(now under construction) and we have a valid consent to establishment (CTE).
 And , we also apply for consent for Operation ( CTO),
And after obtaining that we will apply for  Hazardous waste authorisation .

 
 But the case is now we are generating waste oil and used oil from our factory.

Right now we are storing the same

Pls tell me legally whether we are eligible to dispose waste oil /used oil to PCB authorised vendors even before obtaining consent for operation/Hazardous waste authorisation ..

    is your CTE clearly indicate the categories & quantity of Haz wastes?if no, then first of all you have to ask for that(amendment in CTE.).If CTE grant you to handle particular type of categories, like cat.5.1 and cat.5.2 (used oil & waste oil)then you are authroised to handle(collection, storage, transportation and disposal)it.same shall be mentioned in Conset to operate.

    Yes, Mr.Rajesh,

     

    Absolutely you can dispose waste oil to the authorised recyclers as you are having been equiipped the CTE. Consent for Establishment offerred for constructional and installation activties of an organization and then Consent for operation will be offerred to run the operations after stabilization of your unit operations. So that permitted pollution levels can be maintained.

    If you have mentioned in your EM P in EC or consent to establish you can sell it to a Authorized vendor after filling up necessary forms

    Dear Rajesh, Its better if you discuss this with your area FO or MPCB seniors for getting Provisional NOC. Forany disposal you need to have authorisation but if the waste is generated at Construction stage then it will raise need for amendment in law.

    As per my knowledge no firstly you have to gate  authorization.

    No, for sending it to authorized vendors by PCB Consent for operation should be obtained as along with CFO you also get Authorization for disposing your waste. This consent has to be shown to the Authorized Vendors and get registered with them to dispose your waste and once you start disposing the waste you can obtain the Acknowledgement from them, and this acknowledgment has to be submitted when you are renewing your CFO as CFO compliance or six monthly once to PCB or as per your consent Conditions
