Rainwater harvesting in schools

Student EXNORA Programme(STEP)is a Chennai based organisation working with schools to create environment awareness activities.

This year Innerwheel club of Madras Central ( ladies wing of Rotary) has joined with STEP to create an awareness about Rain water harvesting in schools.Anyschool that needs a demo or talk can invite STEP volunteers who will go to the schools with their demo-talk-presentation and explain to the school Authorities/ students on how Rain water harvesting can be done.

If there any school interested in getting RWH done they will provide details of agencies who will do it for them.

  • Thats Great news. @ STEP, I am from AFPRO standing for Action for Food Production which provides Socio-technical support to water conservation and natural resource management all over India. At our Bangalore office, we do the similar services in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. You my consider us involving in similar activities!

  • It is very nice to teach the young generation about water conservation as they hold the future, I also have written in my blogs time and again that this subject should be inculcated in all school books for better propagation.

  • Good work..
  • Fantastic...it must be replicated
