Public consultation is a process wherein every project has to undergo to obtain environmental clearance for their project. After preparing Draft EIA report as per the terms of reference issued to the project, the report along with executive summary (English & Local language) in adequate numbers has to be submitted to regional state pollution control board along with a requestion letter to conduct public hearing. The regional officer after contacting the District Collector gives a date for conducting PH. An advertisement will be given in news paper (regional & local both) one month prior to PH. A presentation on the project details along with baseline environment, impacts envisaged and proposed mitigation measures along with social developmental activities proposed has to be given in front of the Public (local villages near the project area) in local language only.
