Please provide some guidelines for fresher environmental engineering students for searching jobs and some extra activity (software and other related analysis) that they should do which gives them more opportunity and make them confident.....................

One should be skilled in design of Water/Wastewater and Water distribution network.
Learn CADD & GIS. very useful when seeking jobs in MNCs.
Get field experience through training at Industries, Treatment plants and design companies & do collect certificates from them.
For environmental Engineers in India it is very essential to get trained in field before graduating.
Students can work professors and try doing some interesting sessions to learn thing out of syllabus. unfortunately our faculty fail to give more practical knowledge to students, so it is students interest in getting knowledge from their teachers.
Learn about water/waste water treatment plant, Environment Monitoring and designing.
i think it is important to learn practical skills such as testing of water and waste water samples, ambient air analysis, noise and soil testing etc. It will boost your confidence if u will have knowledge of these as an environment engineer.
Get skills in areas like environmental modeling (air dispersion, watershed modeling) and GIS
