These days i feel the real condition of environment in India. I was just in search for industrial training for my academic fulfillment, i visited many industries and no body can believe that NTPC Khahakgaun replies that company does not work any thin regarding environment, many of industries told me that they do not perform any type of training in environment. Where is India and where is Indian environment . I want to know??
In a country where ministers are prone to fight each other like dogs on trivial issues, and totally sidestep the important ones, there is no surprise at sad state of affairs. There is momentum, especially in the young middle class - like how 350.org events showcased last October. The Indian Environmental scenario can change only by a forceful widespread network like the one we have here, learning, growing strong, and implementing change at the local level. Of course, in the absence of a forthright minister who has the guts to stand up uncompromisingly for environmental protection, all grassroots efforts are water on a buffalo's back as the Hindi idiom goes.. :\
