Dam Break Modelling and River flood plain modelling using MIKE 11 is my thematic area for my M.Tech project work. Its basically included in water resources engineering and disaster management field. Please suggest me some research topics/subjects from these thematic area which will be included with Environmental aspects.

Actually, nowadays I am working on Floodplain modelling and dam break modelling and simulations of Gargai and Pinjal rivers from Maharashtra. I want to link up these areas with environmental aspects as study of submergence of water and impacts of the dam failure on environment for my MTech full year project work. Also I am looking for any other research topic from this thematic areas.

You can look for Ecosystem Approach in River Modelling. You can find similar research article on river as well as lakes using MIKE 11. If you are looking forward for this topic then I can send you some research articles.
You can find the benefits of Mike 11 over other hydro-logical model or you can add another component with this that is any optimization model, so it will help to decide the operation policy of the Dam..
