Sub: Invitation to participate in the public events of the 5th International Canopy Conference 2009
Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) is hosting the fifth international canopy conference titled Forest canopies: conservation, climate change and sustainable use in Bangalore from October 25-31, 2009 - www.canopy2009.org - The conference is being held for the first time in Asia, and hopes to bring biologists, climate change scientists and socio economists to build inter-disciplinary links in canopy science to foster forest conservation. The conference is expected to be attended by the world’s leading canopy biologists and conservation scientists. Dr Thomas Lovejoy will deliver the keynote address, and Kamal Bawa, Vojtech Novotny, Steve Turton, Andrew Mitchell, Nalini Nadkarni alongside others will deliver plenary talks.
