United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP) has chosen India to be the global host of the World Environment Day (WED) 2011 celebrations. As part of WED 2011, CMS Environment, a Delhi based multidisciplinary think tank, is organizing “Biodiversity Film Festival from June 01-04, 2011 in association with the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), Government of India.

 

The Call for Entry for the World Environment Day (WED) Biodiversity Film Festival 2011 is on till May 10, 2011. Films may be of genre – documentary, fiction or non-fiction and must have been produced not earlier than January 1, 2008. There is no entry fee and no restriction on length of the film. Selected films will be screened at four locations in New Delhi, India, reaching out to 5,500 people comprising general public, defence personnel, children and others.

The Biodiversity Film Festival is being organized by CMS Environment as part of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Global World Environment Day (WED) 2011 celebrations. CMS Environment is a visionary initiative of CMS, a Delhi-based, nationally- functioning independent multidisciplinary organization. CMS is also responsible for the internationally reputed CMS VATAVARAN: Environment and Wildlife Film Festival & Forum.
