Ecotourism and innovative tourism is most often then not drawn in semantics and ideas of development which are far-fetched or unattainable. Quite often it is just done to Greenwash. At Paryavaran.com we would like to sponsor and market dynamic go getters who can lead challenging learning tours to different parts of India. So, tell us about the services that you can provide in this sector. We will market your vision to the world...

  • Eco tourism is the responsible travel to the natrural areas that preserves the environment, conserves the endandengered species as well as sustains the well being of the local people. Eco tourism has provided a viable economic alternative to exploitation of the environment. It is a responsible tourism intending to generate employment and income along with alleviating any deeper impact on environment and local culture. In India too the movement is gathering momentum with more & more travel and travel related organisation's are addressing the needs of the eco-tourists and promoting eco-tourism in the country.

To enhance the initiatives it is necessary to propagate the message in an organised manner. Making documentary films on eco-tourism in India can play significant role in propagating the message which leads to the management of all resources in such a way that economic, social, and aesthetic needs can be fulfilled while maintaining cultural integrity, essential ecological processes, biological diversity, and life support systems and also effectively helps to attract tourists and procure various grants as well as CSR funding.

I am interested in making documentaries in a cost-effective manner in this regard with the support of interested potential producers and production organisations including NGOs, Corporate houses and other various sectors. • I second the views of Lima. Our team of youngsters are following the same trend in the parts of southern Rajasthan.

Quoting example of some of our team members from Mt Abu (Sirohi) & Udaipur-

We receive a lot of request to make the birders sight some of the beautiful threatened birds. We had trained our team mates in such a way that they are taking the birding tours at particular site (habitats of the specific birds) and making them sight those species.

Through this they are getting self sustaining amount and protecting the sites. Thus, conserving the habitat for the birds.

Conservation and livelihood, both are the parts of such tours.

We are planning to develop the team professionally in wildlife touring through the trainings for proper identification of specific groups of organisms & exploring natural heritage as well as spreading the ethics of ecotours which vary from site to site. Local community youth are the part of our team so such type of program will focus local youth. They are living near those habitats and they should get benefited in every sense.

Thus, we are providing services to the community through providing them opportunity in the field of nature touring as well as conservationists who would like to conserve natural heritage. These youth are protecting the habitats of their sites.
  • The tour should look at sustaining the livelihoods of the local people as well as using their indigenous knowledge for learning for these visitors. The visitor's will need to learn to become sensitive and compassionate towards this Earth that they share with the other denizens!

The Ecotour will need to be planned and other than "seeing" and "feeling" an action component need to be built into their visitations. These can be site specific and can come out in their interaction with the locals!

Like a visit to Mahabaleshwar to watch the monsoon flora, a visit to the strawberry farm or a local orchard can be built in, this way the visitors will also be able to take a look at what the perspectives are!!
  • The tour must be planned as a guided tour towards "Eco-freindly" Life style.
This will help the participants as a learning platform to learn & adhere the eco friendly living in their routine life.
  • IT MUST BE PLANNED WITH CONVERGENCE OF CRAFT PRODUCTION, GREEN, ORGANIC FOOD, ETHNIC CULTURE...I AM WORKING WITH A GROUP WITH THIS GOAL...
