    Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models are used to simulate atmospheric flow and pollutant dispersion in complex environments, occur close to surface emissions. The available CFD model for air dispersion, I know is "fluidyn-PANACHE", visit http://www.fluidyn.com for more information.

    With respect to U.S.EPA models, you may contact us on, we may advise/model for you.

  • Good day!thanks for response. Can you please explain concept of "computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models", and where it can be avilable? i am in the filed, where fugitive dust emission from yards, loading/unloading, transfer operations are source of generation. i think that there are no stiochometry for fugitive emission. Have tried US EPA model for same. BUt, it is not single tool that can directly gives result.Thanks in advance..

  • Hi,

    Yes, fugitive dust emission can be modeled using AERMODCloud. Reliability of results depends on the complexity of the model; meanwhile AERMODCloud is based on Gaussian equations which are good for elevated point emission sources.

    Further, if you are looking for precise estimate for fugitive emissions, we will recommend using any computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models.
