Environmental ethics had always been an inherent part of Indian religious percepts andphilosophy.Man,nature relationship is at the centre of Vedic Vision and those sacred scriptures specifically talkabout man’s responsibility to preserve his environment. Worship of nature-Sun, Moon, Earth, Air and Waterwas not merely primitive man’s response to the fear of the unknown but arose from the deep reverence shownto the forces of nature which sustained and preserved human life on earth. The Upanishads provide a vision ofcosmic piety and harmony with the natural environment. The highest plenary existence mandates a balance of earth, water, vegetation and human life. However, 21stcentury is gong through rapidly advancing technology and fast growing economic system and increasingthreat from its own activities. The ozone depletion, acid rain, toxic wastes, global warning, deforestation andloss of bio diversities are just few highlights of the development model sweeping across the globe.Creation of Economic and Social Value.pdf

Hi Rohit Misraa Ji, Primitive Man gave respect to the nature and he lived his life adjusting to the nature, but now it's opposite Modern man is making the environment convenient for him, he thinks that he is going on in a right way but he is not realising the threat caused by him to the nature, and they haven't worshipped the panchabhoothas but respected them as they give us light from the sun, oxygen from air, water for drinking etc.,., if every one realizes the importance of nature and joins their hands then there will be a change that can be made to save our environment
But it is not being taught or practiced now a days by young generation or so called Gen Next. with the consumption patterns changing to use and throw/misuse , env ethics has become hypocritical, aided by our governance. Unless env becomes a part of profit / loss creteria , all these ethics are only for nice talk.
This is what I had observed after being 23 years with MOEF.Sorry if am sounding negative.

It is only the urban people and/or those part of population who are in touch with the western style of living, are away from our Eco-Centric Indian culture. Further, the physical comfort zone of people has also deteriorated the conditions. More the comfort, more the resources required and more is the energy consumption.......
I am sorry in advance, if anyone hurts from my views...
