Does anyone have experience working with Center for Science and Environment? I think it is a good place to get your hands dirty on current environmental issues. Probably a good place to intern and start your career. What is your opinion?

Yes, I have experience at CSE.............which is the reason why I hesitate in applying there for any one of several interesting jobs which have appeared there in the last one year.
My first job was at CSE. True, I was a greenhorn and must have had my share of errors of judgement. Yet the CSE working style is either black or white: we let you in the field with no supporting infrastructure, or we'll be downright dictatorial! No shades of grey in-between.
True, it's an excellent place to get trained, since being handed responsibility without adequate support means you learn to become resourceful. But it also means a very high turnover rate. There are as many people joining as there are leaving.
All in all, it's a mixed bag.
