Dear IEN Members,

I am sure lot of you must have genuinely celebrated world environment day today while a lot others including major organizations must have seen it as a marketing opportunity to just promote their brands. I get a lot of emails from organizations to post about their work on this day on Indian Environment Network. I choose to ignore them as I feel that your work should be apparent to everyone every day!

So, if you truly believe that you are making a difference in the society by your work in ameliorating the environment, here is a quick offer.

  1. We are offering all organizations facility to operate a dedicated group on our popular portal www.paryavaran.com  and directly interact with our members who come from 2000+ organizations.
  2. It’s FREE for Indian organizations but initially limited to those who offer to share atleast  “ONE” “How to” instruction guide or “white paper” on the products and services that they offer as our “author” partners. They can also donate any short “instruction guide” making life easier for our member professionals in doing their everyday work. We will host it on our guide portal at www.globallearningschool.com
  3. Every individual member of Indian Environment Network is also invited to join us as “authors” and write atleast one short “guide” or list of instructions on anything that they feel is important enough in their work and they have figured how to do it. Let’s share it with our members on www.globallearningschool.com and grow together collectively. We will pay a token amount of Rs. 500/- for each free guide published on www.globallearningschool.com , give you a beautifully crafted digital certificate as "IEN author" and also feature the author on our website giving you world fame. On exceptional guides we may decide to offer it at a price to the public and in such cases we will share the revenue with the author.

We invite your organizations to sponsor these online guides published and help reimburse the cost of this effort. We will dedicate space for each sponsor in these guides.

So what are you waiting for?  Don’t just do lip service on world environment day!  Use the power of your pen to start writing your own “Gita” or list of instructions that can be used by thousands of young environment and development professionals to help mother earth.

Email us at ien@paryavaran.com  and get started.

Thanks

IEN Team

  • June 5th is World Environment Day!
Here are four things you can do without moving out of your seat- just by using your mobile phone
June 5th is celebrated as World Environment Day worldwide.  At IndianWildlifeclub, we have decided to make a connection to our environment through birds.   So what are theFOUR things you can do without leaving your seat and as you read this mail?
    Number 1.
We have three interesting quizzes on birds which can be attempted online (any number of times, till you get them right!)

    Number 2

Download free mobile apps relating to Indian birds from our store by clicking on
                                                      .
All these apps are extremely user-friendly, simple and targeted at the amateur.   Next time you step out of your home, be sure your mobile has these apps in them.
    Number 3
Watch a 20 minute documentary on our National Bird at the link
Next time you see the dancing peacock, you will appreciate this bird of the pheasant family even more.    If there is one bird which is so much part of our folklore and music, it is Sarang-The Peacock.
    Number 4
Bird watching is a hobby which grows on you.  It helps you to spend time outdoors, network with others and opens out a whole new world of nature!   Observing birds is now a science called "Ornithology".
Enroll for an online Ornithology Program conducted by BNHS (Bombay Natural History Society).  This one year course will earn you a valuable certificate which students can use to explain a gap year when they go for admissions/jobs.  With soft skills getting more and more important while interviewing for jobs,   this is a certificate every young man and woman must possess.
A must have certificate for bird guides in Parks and sanctuaries (Get your organization to fund/subsidize the fees!)
Last date of applying 20th June, 2015
    Course fee Rs 9990/-
IndianWildlifeclub members get a 5% discount on the fees when they apply and pay online.

    Happy Environment Day
