    There are standards for discharge of wastewater from Paint industry, and that is as under - 

    PAINT INDUSTRY : WASTEWATER DISCHARGE STANDARD 

    Parameter Concentration not to exceed units in mg/l except pH
    pH 6.0 to 8.5
    Suspended solids 100
    BOD at 27°C for 3 days 50
    Phenolics as C6H5OH 1.0
    Oil & grease 10.0
    Bioassay test 90% survival of fish in 96 hours in 100% effluent
    Lead as Pb 0.1
    Chromium as Cr
    hexavalent 0.1
    total 2.0
    Copper as Cu 2.0
    Nickel as Ni 2.0
    Zinc as Ni 5.0
    Total heavy metals 7.0

And for your question, i.e paint industry we can provide u unique solution, as Asian Paints Limited is one of our client. We have done such projects for Asian paints at Rohatak, Ankleshwar, and many other their upcoming projects are under us.
