Are you or someone you know part of an India-based start-up in the energy sector looking to scale? If yes, check out the upcoming Village Capital startup accelerator program!
My name is Patrick Huang and I am a US graduate student working for Village Capital (VilCap) in Mumbai for the next few months. I am looking for growing for-profit enterprises in the energy sector across India.
What is Village Capital?
Village Capital believes in democratizing entrepreneurship by organizing unique 12-week startup accelerator program in cities across the world with a program starting soon in Mumbai. As an entrepreneur, you'll participate in a peer group of other promising enterprises, go through a program that will give you expert advising/mentoring, and be introduced to a network of India's top impact investors.
Why Village Capital?
At the end of the program, the entrepreneur cohort will assess one another--top-ranked enterprises will receive $50,000 in investment directly from Village capital and a local investor. The best twist: the investment is selected by the entrepreneurs themselves!
What are we looking for?
We are especially interested in companies that fit the following general criteria:
At least one full-time team member dedicated to the business
Positive early traction (targeting post-revenue)
Companies post-R&D, at the pilot/proof-of-concept stage
For-profit enterprise with the potential to be venture-investable
If you are interested or have any questions, please contact me directly at patrick.huang@vilcap.com. Thanks.
