Background: Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) is looking for a Manager for
its PELT (Policy, Enforcement, Law & Training) programme. This is a
senior position, reporting to the Director of the programme.
Job Responsibilities:
* Responsible for overall management of the programme
* Liaison with government agencies, national and international donors
* Management of project planning, field staff and finance
* Project report preparation
Skills:
* Ability to write to national and international donors
* Broad knowledge on wildlife conservation issues, especially wildlife crime
Qualifications: Graduate or Post Graduate.
Experience: At least 4-7 years' experience in the above mentioned profile.

Position: Field Officer / Assistant Field Officer
Programme: Wild species (Field based tiger projects)
Location: Central India / Northeast India / Terai
Job status: Contractual
Gross compensation: As per qualifications & experience
Job Responsibilities:
* Field work for estimation of tiger and prey population densities
using capture-recapture and distance sampling methodologies.
* Other conservation action related work in project site.
* Working closely with concerned Forest department staff.
* Design and analysis of field based studies.
* Report writing.
Skills:
* Familiarity with sign surveys for carnivores and vegetation sampling.
* Candidates should be familiar with theory of sampling,
population estimation and basic statistics.
* Familiarity with GIS and population estimation software such as
MARK, CAPTURE, PRESENCE etc.
* Good written communication in English.
Qualifications: Graduate / Post-graduate in wildlife sciences /
wildlife biology / biological sciences. A candidate interested in
pursuing his / her doctoral work on tigers / tiger conservation in the
landscape will be preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of field experience.

Director. Candidate should have budget management and good writing
skills.
Job Responsibilities:
* Conceptualising and developing new projects
* Writing project proposals and reports
* Budgeting
* Fund raising
* Organise and assist in conducting periodic and annual review
and planning meetings
* Document proceedings of meetings and follow-up on listed tasks
Skills:
* In-depth understanding of wildlife/conservation issues
* Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
* Budgeting skills
* Proficiency in MS Office, specially Excel and Powerpoint.
Experience:3-5 years in a similar position.
Qualifications: A post-graduate in Wildlife Biology/Wildlife
Science/related fields. Candidates with other qualifications can also
