use of solar energy

A proper and planned use of solar energy is badly needed. why can't we make it mandatory for  public buildings to have their lightings with solar radiation. Atleast the street lights n inner compound lights which they keep on the whole night. Even in appatments, the parking lots n rest of the launge area can be supplied lights with solar lightings. Initial cost is high but maintenance is less cost and it is a one time investment. by this we can over come shortage of electricity.

  • Is it cost effective than LED. Regards
  • Absolutely right...not only Solar but also renewable and less polluting options must be our priority. While world moves this way India moves towards Nuke...Government must think and plan right way and reverse trend. I am involved in a village where this approach is made. It is  near Sunderban not far from Kolkata. Already 75 houses covered wit Solar home light and wood gas runs generater for energy need in common places. Devipur village is about 3 hours journe from Kolkata.
