Dear All,

Thank you so much for actively participating in the discussions and sharing your valuable opinions and experiences with the network members. I strongly feel that the learning emerging out of these discussions should not go waste!

I strongly feel that this platform of 1,500+ strong professionals from different facets of environment is not less than any international forum or conference. Undoubtedly we have among us persons with great repute and enormous experience and the opinions shared by them is of immense importance.

I shall request Mr. C.Kishore, as well as other members to suggest a way to convert this learning, suggestions, into some proceedings kind of thing so that the learning do not go waste.

Else, these discussions would be meant for discussion with out a tangible output / outcome / impact !!

Kindly suggest

Regards

Kanna

  • I will be more then interested to volunteer to the best of my ability in building a team of highly thoughtfull environmental visionaries and bring their thoughts and ideas to light in whatever small way possible from my side. May be we should have more comprihensive analysis of the situation atleast as far as EIA is concerned and come out with an Sustainable solution to crisis we are into from an EIA a perspective.
  • I am interested in volunteering to be part of the group to make this into a well crafted paper...But looking for others also so that as a group it is practically doable with work divided amongst us and it will take relatively less time..

I would welcome any volunteers to turn the discussions in a well-crafted paper so that it can be presented to the decision makers.

Another great idea might be to take a topic and do virtual conferences inviting our professionals to present quality papers on the subject with comprehensive thought on the practical suggestions that they are making backing it up with good data. We can easily turn them into e-books and then circulate it to policy makers to aid in making a difference. How about doing the first virtual conference on Environment Impact Assessment? If few sposnors/ partners can pitch this can be made really effective with dedicated time of Coordinators.

Perhaps, after a series of virtual conferences we can do a Annual "Indian Environment Network Field Convention" where we meet up with each other annually to make our ideas heared and invite top decision makers to share in our findings and implement it!

So, volunteers/ partners/ sponsors , come on with your ideas...
