    Dear Mr. Ashish,

Please mention your capacity of cement plant.

    1) If plant capacity (production capacity) is > or equal to 1.0 million tonnes/annum, that project is falls under Category "A" as per EIA Notification & Require to take Environmental Clearance (EC) from Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), Delhi.
    2) If plant capacity (production capacity) is < 1.0 million tonnes/annum, that project is falls under Category "B" & Require to take EC from MoEF.

    3) Project location should not fall with in 10 Km of any Protected Areas & Eco-sensitive areas etc, If project falls with in 10 Km radius (if there is no declared Eco-sensitive Zone around NP/WLS/PA), then you have to take NBWL clearance.

To get EC, Major issues may as follow:
    1) To conduct Public Hearing
    2) To take approval for GW abstraction from CGWA.
Step wise requirment for Green field cement plant project
As en Environment Officer what are the steps for establishing new cement plant in rajasthan where there is no any sensitive issue except ground water…
