The nationwide admired and sacred Lakshyachandi Mahayagya is under scanner of science department of MLSU.

A team spearheaded by Professor S.M.A. Jaffery (Astronomy & Astro Physics) from M.L.S.U. University has taken the pledge to scan the good effects of the yagya through research & scientific methods.

yagya-research

The whole team of professor would be at yagya venue from the very first day till 25th May so that even after the yagya gets over at 22nd may, the remaining gases would still be lingering in the atmosphere and the after effects of those gases can be studied thoroughly.

S.M.A Jaffery, who is the director of computer labs as well, explained the whole process of creating monsoon weather by smoke.

He said that many gases like Nitrogen, Carbon Peroxide & Sulfur Dioxide etc. emerge from  smoke and they lay various effects on the environment around.

prof“We would be experimenting & studying the effects of those gases which come out of the smoke from pious fire of yagya. The smoke makes 2 types of carbon gases: Organic & Black carbon. Black carbon emerges out from offering ghee into fire. That smoke gets deposited in the layers of environment and stay there. When sun rays fall on those layers, it generates heat. But that heat stays up in the sky as the gases don’t come down again. So this creates the humid weather. Thus clouds are formed by smoke.” Jaffery shared

“On the other hand, when gases rise up in the sky, the lower layers i.e. the surrounded environment gets lighter and it leads to shrinking of temperature. Thus ,cloudy weather is created. High temperature in the upper layers produces low pressures, which ultimately leads towards the monsoon. So we would study this procedure and give the religious mythology a base of scientific logic.” S.M.A. Jaffery uttered.

The M.L.S.U professor Jaffery expressed their expectations of good rainfall this time. They said that this is the sole reason why they are verifying the good effects of yagya.

  • Science can only tell you how something is happening, not why. Our scientists will greatly benefit the world if they stop pushing aside yagna as mere 'mythology'; spiritual sciences have not yet been explored, because the intellectual purity required for those investigations is not being taught in our modern schools and colleges. As far as this analysis is concerned, one may study follow the reference below: Bhagavad Gita Ch. 3, Txt 14, available with explanation at http://vedabase.net/bg/3/14/

Food grains or vegetables are factually eatables. The human being eats different kinds of food grains, vegetables, fruits, etc., and the animals eat the refuse of the food grains and vegetables, grass, plants, etc. Human beings who are accustomed to eating meat and flesh must also depend on the production of vegetation in order to eat the animals. Therefore, ultimately, we have to depend on the production of the field and not on the production of big factories. The field production is due to sufficient rain from the sky, and such rains are controlled by demigods like Indra, sun, moon, etc., and they are all servants of the Lord. The Lord can be satisfied by sacrifices; therefore, one who cannot perform them will find himself in scarcity — that is the law of nature. Yajña, specifically the sańkīrtana-yajña prescribed for this age, must therefore be performed to save us at least from scarcity of food supply.
