FOUNDATION FOR ECOLOGICAL SECURITY
PROJECT POSITIONS
Foundation for Ecological Security is looking for suitable candidates for Research positions in
an adhoc project "Insect inventorying in Deccan Forest and Farm Landscapes". The study sites
are in Kadiri watershed and Sadhukonda Reserve Forest in Andhra Pradesh. The laboratory work
will be done through the Entomology lab at ATREE, Bangalore. The nature of the work includes
field sampling, collections management, identification using dichotomous keys, ecological data
analysis and writing of research papers and reports.
Qualifications: A good aptitude to study insects and preferably a Masters degree in
Zoology/Agriculture/Ecology/Forestry. Candidates with hands on experience in identifying
insects at least to family level are preferred.
The candidate must have effective interpersonal skills and ability to workindependently in' the
field (supporting staff will be provided). He/ she should be willing to workin toughfield
conditions, if the project demands.
