Background:
Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) is looking for a Programme Officer for its Rescue Programme. The incumbent should have experience in handling animals, conflict situations and addressing wildlife emergencies.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide programmatic support to Wild Rescue programme, in the areas of budget management, report writing and project planning
Provide fast and effective country wide response to wildlife in distress and address their rehabilitation and welfare needs
Capacity building of wildlife rehabilitators through internships and workshops.
Skills:
Candidate should have passion for wildlife and should be primarily concerned with animal welfare
Willingness to learn and work long hours if necessary
Good communication skills (written and spoken)
Experience in handling animals, conflict situations and addressing wildlife emergencies
Qualifications:
Graduate or Post Graduate with experience in wildlife, preferably in wildlife rehabilitation and conflict animal management.
Experience:
2-5 years experience in the above mentioned profile.
