Dear All,
Can you suggest a noise modelling software for using in Industries as well as mining and other for preparation of EIAs. Weather the software is free ware or purchase. and also please send where it will be available and give the contact details

Much appreciated.
However, Dhwani is based on a 16 bit fortran code and runs in DOS mode. Runs on 32 bit environment like XP, but does not work on Vista or 64 bit environment like Win 7. Has there been any 'maintenance' from NEERI's side?
Beside, there is no comparison between GIS based noise software like Data Caustic, Soundplan, Puma etc. and Dhwani. Lets admit it, its obsolete. Sad, but true.
As far as MoEF recommended software is concerned it also recommends PTMAX, PTDIS & MPETER but not AERMOD. :)
Regards.

Dear,
It is not freeware at all, you have to procure it from market/NEERI, it is basically used
for predictions of impact due to group of noise sources in the industrial complex (multiple sound sources)
Have a look on MoEF recommended Models http://envfor.nic.in/divisions/iass/eia/Annex5.htm
