Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is looking for Reporter cum Copy Editor for its Environment Education Unit (EEU).

About the Unit:
The EEU of CSE is focused on spreading environment education among environmental beginners, especially school going children. The activities involve producing the ‘Gobar Times’, a monthly supplement which comes out with our fortnightly magazine on science and environment, ‘Down to Earth’. The other is the Green Schools Programme, wherein we train the school teachers to build environmental consciousness among the students, through our self developed manual and innovative exercises.
Green Schools Programme is a nation wide programme, and so far about 60,000 manuals have reached to about 5000 schools across the country. The manual has been translated into Hindi, Telugu and Kannada while Marathi and Gujarati translations are in the pipeline. The manual is also being translated in Arabic and is being customized for the UAE this year. 
EEU is also planning to develop manual on Climate Change and Green Habitat.

Candidate profile:
We require resourceful individuals with excellent communication and writing skills, a basic understanding or willingness to deal with environmental issues, efficiency in the art of copy editing and eagerness to travel for reporting. Experience of 2-3 years working in a similar capacity in the publishing industry is desired. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
