Update: Looks like India is not included yet!! Let's start our own competition... Any sponsors!
Global Cleantech Open announced a Open Challenge across the world to send them their best Clean Tech idea. Check the details here .
The Cleantech Open is supposed to be the world's largest clean technology business competition . Here's the blurb from their website.
"Just for telling us your idea, you could win a prize package of services worth $100,000 to help you start a business to grow your idea!
Tell us which country you are from.
Answer the five questions we ask that help you build your "success paragraph."
If your idea beats out the competition within your country, then you're invited to join us for a full day of pitch training, mentoring and practice judging in California in November.
Then plan to join the Cleantech Open at the Awards Gala on November 17, 2009 in San Francisco. There, you will pitch your idea for five minutes in front of a crowd of 3,000 investors, entrepreneurs, sponsoring companies, corporations, members of academia, press, and others interested in hearing your ideas and getting involved.
The crowd will vote via text message for the "People's Choice" and you could win $100,000 in marketing support, legal advising, conferencing services and more to help launch your business!"
Don't forget to forward this competition details to your friends. I am sure the winner will be one of the members of "Indian Environment Network" . You are encouraged to form team members from members of Indian Environment Network to give shape to your ideas !!
