WWF-India, the country’s largest environmental conservation NGO with a national branch network is looking for three dynamic and young Education Coordinators to work on a short duration (six – months) project on biodiversity, conserving wilderness areas and spreading environmental awareness at its Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh State Office located in Bhopal.
Job Responsibilities and Objectives involve:
Project work including biodiversity conservation, conservation of wilderness areas and spreading environmental awareness
Interacting with students and teachers of school and college level
Guiding school/college - level environmental projects and workshops
Developing resource material
Conducting environmental events and nature camps within the state.
Pre-requisites for the position include:
At least a Masters degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences or Ecology, a Diploma in Mass communication, B.Ed/ M.Ed is desirable; One year of experience in a similar role; Good report writing, presentation skill & oratory abilities; Willingness to travel extensively. Other Desired Skills:
An understanding of forest, wildlife, biodiversity and environmental issues; Experience of conducting Environmental Campaigns within the country; Fluency in English and Hindi languages is essential; Energetic, proactive and capable of working positively in a team. Project Duration & Remuneration:
The post will be on temporary basis for a period of 6 months and remuneration will be competitive with Indian NGO pay scales and will depend upon candidate’s experience levels and the overall WWF-India salary structure.
