Centre for Science and Environment offers this winter, a three weeks course, Challenge of the Balance: Policies, Politics & Practices of Environmental Management in the Developing World - (December 17, 2012 to January 5, 2013)

This India centric certificate course for international and South Asian (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and India) students and young professionals, explores the linkages between environment and development concerns. To understand community-led eco-restoration efforts, weeklong field trip to rural India included within the three weeks.  

 

Previous academic partners include the University of Oslo, Norway, and Engineers Without Borders, UK.

 

Large number of fellowships available to meet travel, food and stay costs of participants.

 

Faculty: eminent academics, leading environmental activists and policy makers and CSE research staff

 

As course assignment, students will research and report, shoot pictures, produce short films/ videos and /or produce a magazine / ezine.
