GIZ Germany under its Indo_German Programme on Environmental Knowledge for Disaster Risk Management Programme through Ministry of Environment & Forests, Govt of India, is organizing a National level course on "Blended Learning on Environmental Statistics for Disaster Risk Management" during 5-7 December 2011 at National Institute of Disaster Management, New Delhi (www.nidm.gov.in). Faculty members of colleges/Universities, Institutes, Training Centres on Rural development, environment, disaster management, statistics, etc. and NGOs, etc dealing with the relevant subjects, if interested, can enroll for the 3 day course by writing to Course Coordinator Ms. Sreeja S Nair, Assistant Professor of NIDM (sreejanair22@gmail.com) at the earliest and latest by 1st Dec. 2011. As a 2nd pilot course, GIZ has made this batch as free of charge for Indian participants on recommendation of NIDM. Lodging and boarding during the course shall be arranged by the GIZ, ASEM and NIDM (the course organizers at New Delhi, in case of pre-registration at NIDM).
