Dear IEN Members,

Please check out the latest addition of products and services in our online indian ecomarket  on Indian Environment Network. In our latest offerings Alaknanda Technologies brings you Biomass Briquetting Technology.

Biomass briquetting is the densification of loose biomass material to produce compact solid composites of different sizes with the application of pressure, heat and in some cases binding agent for loose material.

Production of fuel briquettes involves the collection and compaction of a combination of combustible waste materials that are not directly usable because of their low density and processing them into a solid fuel product of any convenient shape that can be burned like wood or charcoal.

  • how long it will take to make ready the fuel to be used. is this cheap than conventional sources like LPG or other cowdung based fuel. does it produce secondary waste product or byproduct. pls explain

  • good step towards conservation of environment by reducing fossil fuel consumption.
  • I feel making fuel bricks is not a problem, the problem here is to use that fuel without releasing harmful gases and byproducts like carcinogens. So I feel that developing good technology to use these fuel bricks is best solution at this point of time as there are so many technologies available for briquetting.

  • Wonderful solution for energy crisis
