Dear All,
I had completed my B.Tech in Environmental Engineering in 2010 after that i had join "Ganga River Basin Environment Management Plan" project in IIT Kanpur under Dr. Vinod Tare. Now i had qualified GATE 2012 exam. and got a counseling call from IIT Roorkee in Industrial Pollution Abatement course of Chemical Engineering.
I want to know with our Experts and friends in environment field, that this course is how much useful in my future?
Should i join this course or go for Core Environmental Engineering branch in NIT's ?
Please Help me...

i suggest you join IIT kanpur environment engineering & management or IIT bombay environment science and engineering. also, try out NITIE (if GATE score is 98+), Mumbai for PGD in environment, safety ansd sustainabilty
all the best and good luck
join the IITR
Dear Shivam
I can sense the point of confusion.
M.Tech IPA is nested in chemical dptt and its course structure is very much similar to the Environment Engineering in Civil Dptt. I find this more leaned to the industrial pollution, treatment technologies etc. M.Tech is a degree of specialization in the field and as you are already know much about env engg I think for you this is the time to narrow down within environment engineering field for which this can be an option.
I am 2009 batch pass out of M.Tech IPA from IITR. You can contact me in case you want to know more.
cheers, Vipul
in which discipline you have written your gate exam?
Allways go with core branch for long term success
