Dear Environs,Can any one help me out what are the permissions required for installing new D. G set in a hospital.Is there any permissions need to be taken from Andhra Pradesh pollution Control board.Since the Hospital already using one D.G Set.

Yes, you would require CTE (consent to establish) for new DG set installation ( capacity more than 15 KVA in case non industry.. but u need to confirm) & CTO (consent to operate)from the APPCB under Section 21 of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as amended.

yes you need to aaply for varied consent to operate .
and D.G set should be with canopy or an acoustic room should be provided for a D.G set
also their are parameters for the stack height of the exhaust of D.G set .
generally it should me more than 3m meters from roof level if D.G set's capacity is below 500kva i guess .
