TERI as a part of the research programme funded by The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on climate change water energy nexus is organizing a 2 day conference on the theme of ‘Water-Energy Nexus: Connecting the dots’ on 2nd and 3rd September 2014, at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The water-energy nexus is one of the most important and urgent issues to be resolved for ensuring sustainable development.  It is important to decouple and quantify linkages of the intricate nexus for informed policy decisions and to help prioritizing resource use. The idea of this research on the nexus is to overcome one-sided sectoral thinking and sector-biased planning, management and implementation. Therefore, this conference aims to support the design of more efficient policy frameworks on the one hand, and to lead to better results of international and regional cooperation projects on the other hand.
The conference will witness national and international experts from various sectors giving insights on the theme. Alongside, special sessions on policy dialogue and hydropower linkage will be organized.
