Dear All,

Indian cities are increasingly witnessing the impact of Climate Change. It is apparent that extreme events such as droughts and cyclones will become more frequent. In this scenario, it is important to understand: What can cities do to build resilience to climate change impacts?

In this context, TERI has prepared an Infographic titled: ‘Decoding urban climate change resilience- the policy way’. The infographic introduces the concept of a ‘Resilient City’ and focuses on the need to mainstream climate resilience into the urban planning process. The infographic has been uploaded as a dynamic image on a dedicated webpage: http://www.teriin.org/resilient-cities/

(The jpg version has been attached with this post)

Further, in order to simplify the concept of ‘Mainstreaming resilience planning’ and communicating it to the public through visual medium, a short animation clip (2-3 minutes) has been prepared which can be accessed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skL8xb-vvCA

We urge you to widely disseminate these multimedia resources and also use them in capacity building and sensitisation programs.

Best Regards,
